So 4 cars went out today on the Appleby Rotary Club annual classic run around the Lakes and over towards the coast - the Big Healey with Tom, the little Healey with Phil, the Mini with Bob and the Stag with Alastair and all had a great day along with over 30 other cars!
All back in safely and the mud removal and washing underway! We get all the good jobs!?
Well a stunning day in the Lakes for Paul and Caroline's wedding just outside Cockermouth - bright and clear with snow capped mountains all around - beautiful! And the Frog looked lovely too! Congratulations both!
So following Barry's trip up to stay with us last year in his TR6 - a group from Kent all came to stay for a few days with their own TR6s as part of their 2 week trip taking in the Lakes and Dales on the way to Scotland. All went very smoothly (despite the weather) with the only breakdown being the fairly new Merc which came along with another member of the group and broke a front spring! A non British classic in the workshop - very strange times!
Look forward to seeing you all again next year!
Well with not many days to spare (?!) the Morgan is back on the road, ready for hire, and went out over the weekend wth the Brown family who were staying in one of the cottages to celebrate Mum & Dad's Golden Wedding! First Morgan hire of the year and all went well and the weather held off for most of the day! Very stylish hats involved - check out the photos on Facebook page!
Congratulations on the half century!
After much careful trimming, shaping and tailoring both front wings now fit the align with the car! Tape measure in bin as true craftmanship is done by eye and gut feel (at least that's what Keith at Brands Hatch Morgan told us!!).
Wings now back off with the filling and paint prep now well underway - hours of fun!!
All looking good for being back ready for the hire season soon .......
