1968 MGB Roadster
A classic MGB roadster in tartan red, black interior with red piping, alloy wheels, this car looks and drives like a classic MG should. The MGB followed the MGA in May 1962 with a very different design and production continued until 1980. The MGB had many face lifts and changes throughout that period. This MGB roadster is effectively a MK2 with push button door handles as opposed to the pull type.
We purchased the car from a friend who had restored the car extensively with new panels, engine rebuild and suitable modifications. Having known the car and previous owner the purchase was a simple decision.
The car has a 1798 cc engine with five main bearing crank coupled to a four synchro overdrive gearbox which is a great combination for touring the Lakes and Dales routes we recommend. The ride has been improved with telescopic dampers and brakes are good with a servo fitted. We have renewed the interior trim and fitted a new hood.
An easy drive with straightforward weather gear, ideal for exploring the local area whether you choose Hadrian’s Wall, the Yorkshire Dales or the Lakeland passes with great views.
